Full kit includes name brand: Backpack, water proof cover, sleeping bag, sleeping bag inner, mat, torch, knife, fork, spoon, cooker & pot. Cooker needs a new cylinder for $10. each. We need the height of each person for backpack and sleeping bag. Pick up from 139 Kaiteriteri Sandy Bay road or we can drop off the hire gear to you at Marahau, Kaiteriteri Beach, Motueka or anywhere between. Must be pre booked.

Bond: To hire camping equipment we would either require a $100 bond or if you allow us to take a photo of you ( the person hiring) and a photo of your passport we would not require the cash bond. We only take adults ID into account.

Packpacks $10 per Day or part, Sleeping bags $5 per Day, Tents $10 per Day or Part. Cooking items $10 per Day. All name branded quality equipment. This is a great price so book early. Back back that fits you, warm clothes, sleeping bag with liner, torch, knife, fork. spoon, cleaning steel wool, washing up liquid, sun screen, mozzy spray or roll on, water purification tablets, a lighter or dry matches, heavy plastic bags (4). Can opener, pot x2, warm clothing, first aid kit. Warm water proof clothes. Phone or personal location beacon. pillow & spare batteries. toilet paper. Tell some that you trust not with you when you will be out. Warm waterproof clothes....did we mention that. Its a must. Always check the weather before setting out. Most areas have weather reports posted on notice boards.

Walking the Abel Tasman Coastal Walk? What to take.
We recommend the following items as a guide. Good quality back pack ( not a school pack because its not designed the same). Sleeping bag, sleeping bag inner, cooker, gas cylinders. matches, torch, water tablets, water tube, plastic bags ( for wet or dirty things). Plate, spoon, knife, fork, sun screen, insect spray, first aid kit, pegs for drying wet clothes, water bottle, sun hat, ground mat ( even if you are in a cabin). Spare battery for your torch, can opener. Warm and water proof clothing. Lots of food. Take two days extra food in case of weather delays.

Dont drink any water without using water tablets. We sell them. Its not a sales ploy , you will get sick witout it.

There is very limited cell phone coverage in the Abel Tasman Area. We recommend using a Personal Location Beacon especially if you are with someone is high needs. Hire cost is $99 for five days. Conditions apply.
